The puzzle of who will replace Olga Točko-Ativi in VK AGEL Prostějov, who is out of the team due to injury, is resolved.

The club found the replacement for the Latvian opposite in a 27-years-old player from USA, Katie Carter.

New signing to Czech team was born on October 10, 1985 in Victorville, California, measuring 1.92 m and weighs 72 kg.

Last season she spent in Korean Daejeon KGC and has already had her career in a quite varied and interesting course.

From the UCLA (University of Los Angeles) she headed in 2006 to Spanish Aguere, also played in Indonesian Jakarta Popsivo Polwan, Turkish Dicle ÜniversitesiBakı-Azəryol Baku from Azerbaijan, and Swiss Voléro Zürich.

“Katie had once been on a wider list of the U.S. national team. She is type of player similar to Sanja Popović, who did a good job for us in the past. Carter is high enough, equipped with force and strong hitting. Her advantage lies in the fact that she has had a number of engagements in various parts of the world including Europe, so she should not have problems with adaptation. I believe that she can close the gap caused by Olga. In this situation, when there is only a month and a half until the beginning of the season, we could hardly get any better,“ said AGEL head coach Miroslav Čada.
