The course has been organised by the FIVB Regional Development Centre in Dominican Republic and welcomed participants from Suriname, Jamaica, Bahamas as well as the host country.

Westman will bring 15 years of experience at a number of top European clubs with him as Trinidad and Tobago look to continue their development into a top international side.

“This Libero seminar marks the start of our 2012 activities,” Nelson Ramirez, director of the Development Centre in Dominican Republic said. “We appreciate the collaboration we are having from the T&T Volleyball Federation and its president Mushtaque Mohammed.”

Daymien Stewart, chief operating officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Volleyball Federation was elated with the hosting of the seminar.

“By hosting these seminars the T&TVF is actually increasing its chances of being selected along with a country from Central America and homes for the two proposed sub-centres.”

The course will conclude on Sunday.
