Federico Pereyra, who is among the 12 players that will represent Argentina Men’s Volleyball National Team in the Tokyo Olympics, will continue his career in Iran.
The only Argentina National Team player who will be playing in Tokyo Olympics and did not have a club for the next season, Pereyra, is no longer a free agent. A 33-year-old opposite hitter has joined Shahdab Yazd, who finished fifth in the Iranian top-flight last season.
Pereyra definitely likes playing in the Middle East, given that he will spend the third successive year in a club from this region (2019/20 in Al-Hilal VC, Saudi Arabia and 2020/21 in Al Ahly Tripoli SC, Libya). He will return to playing in Iran after six years (2014/15 in Payam Khorasan).
