Dinamo București made an excellent start to the men’s volleyball season in Romania.
Dinamo București won the first Romanian Men’s Super Cup in the history of the club. The players coached by Serbian Siniša Reljić, the holders of the Cup, defeated the national champions Arcada Galați in Brașov in the 2021 edition of the competition (Supercupa României la volei masculine). After two hours and 20 minutes, it was 3-2 (18-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-15, 15-8) for the side from the country’s capital.
Apart from the historic win of Dinamo, the match was marked by the serious injury of the Arcada middle blocker Tudor Magdaș, whose ankle twisted in an unnatural position in the fourth set after a bad landing on his right foot in a three-way block. Gabriel Cherbeleață from Dinamo was the top scorer of the match with 20 points.
A few days ago, also in Brașov, CSM Volei Alba Blaj took the women’s Super Cup.
