The Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) revealed the list of both foreign male and female players for the 2022 V-League draft, as well as the dates of the event.
The draft of male and female imports for the next season of the V-League will be held online on April 28 (women) and April 29 (men) at the Cheongdam Rivera Hotel in Seoul. In the period between February 21 and March 31, a total of 49 female and 72 male players applied for the draft. A total of 46 female players will participate (including 6 players from last season), as well as a total of 48 male players (including 6 players from last season).
As for female imports that applied for the draft the most prominent names are, certainly, Nia Reed (USA, Sesi Vôlei Bauru, BRA), Saskia Hippe (GER, no club), Gréta Szakmáry (HUN, Aydın Bld., TUR), Wilma Salas (CUB, Olympiacos S.F.P., GRE), and Daly Santana (PUR, IBK Industrial Bank Altos, KOR).
The most famous men’s names on the draft are Saber Kazemi (IRN, Al Arabi SC, QAT), Thomas Edgar (AUS, JT Thunders Hiroshima, JPN), Liberman Agámez (COL, Shabab Al Alhli, UAE), Luca Vettori (ITA, Shanghai, CHN), Thijs Ter Horst (NED, Sir Safety Conad Perugia, ITA), Maurice Torres (PUR, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, TUR), Oreol Camejo (CUB, Ziraat Bankkart, TUR), and Michael Sánches (CUB, Fiat/Gerdau/Minas, BRA).
