The biggest Chinese volleyball star has started her recovery process from a surgery on her right wrist, monitored by her personal doctor who informed the public about her shape on social media, saying that she’s recovering very well. This has fired up Chinese fans to start to look forward to Zhu’s early return to the national team. The pre-operation predictions were that she’ll miss the entire international season, including the FIVB World Championship.
Zhu’s attending doctor is Ángel Cotorro, a world-renowned sports medicine and traumatology expert from Spain, used by the Spanish Tennis Federation, who has had some big tennis names as his patients, such as Rafael Nadal, Juan Martín del Potro, and others. He revealed Zhu’s current recovery status, saying that she’s “an exceptional patient for her ability to work on recovery“.
