Pilar Marie Victoria Lopez, a recent addition to Nilüfer Belediyespor, has tragically passed away at the age of 29. Lopez was discovered deceased in her Bursa apartment on Thursday morning after failing to attend a scheduled training session.
The Puerto Rican outside hitter previously played for the Texas Longhorns, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Beziers Volley in France. Marie Victoria Lopez’s sudden death has shocked and saddened both her teammates and the broader sports community.
