
Croatia’s men’s national volleyball team has a new head coach—experienced expert Ratko Peris. He takes over from Igor Juričić, who stepped down from the position. Peris, previously the assistant coach, is eager for the challenge and ready to lead the team through upcoming competitions.
“It is a great honor to be part of the national team in this role. My first step will be to talk to all the players individually to assess our current situation and readiness. Our goal is to achieve the best possible result in the Golden League and secure qualification for the European Championship,” said Peris.
A former Croatian national team player, Peris has a rich playing and coaching career. He has led teams in France and Belgium and most recently took charge of HAOK Mladost Zagreb and MOK Mursa-Osijek. His disciplined approach and tactical expertise have earned him respect in the volleyball community.
The Croatian Volleyball Federation remains optimistic about the team’s chances in the upcoming European Championship qualifiers, with President Frane Žanić expressing confidence in Peris and the squad’s potential.
