Verona Volley has officially signed American outside hitter Jordan Matthew Ewert for the remainder of the 2024/2025 SuperLega season.
Born on March 18, 1997, in Antioch, California, Ewert began his career with Pacific Rim and Deer Valley HS before playing NCAA Division I volleyball at Stanford University until 2019. His professional journey includes stints in Spain (Eivissa), Germany (Lüneburg), and France (Saint-Nazaire), where he won the 2023/2024 French Championship. Since 2023, he has been a member of the U.S. National Team.
Ewert: “Excited for This New Challenge”
“I’m really happy to start this new experience with Rana Verona, my first in SuperLega—one of the best leagues in the world,” Ewert shared. “When this opportunity came up, it was an easy decision. The team is ambitious, and I can’t wait to contribute.”
Club’s Statement
Verona’s Sporting Director Adi Lami expressed confidence in Ewert:
“With Dzavoronok’s injury, we needed a strong addition, and Ewert fits perfectly. He brings international experience and recently competed in the Champions League, so we’re sure he’ll be a valuable asset. Welcome, Jordan!”
