The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BFV) decided to postpone the appointment of a new head coach for the women’s national team.

Three names remain in contention — Levski Sofia’s coach Radoslav Arsov, former Bulgaria and Ukraine coach Ivan Petkov, and Marcello Abbondanza, also a former Bulgarian national team coach. The final decision is expected next week after further consultations about each candidate’s vision for the team’s development.

During the same meeting, BFV announced new appointments for the youth national squads:

  • Men U22: Daniel Peev & Georgi Petrov
  • Girls U15: Evelina Tsvetanova
  • Boys U15: Nikolay Hadzhiivanov
  • Women U18: Atanas Petrov
  • Men U18: Miroslav Zhivkov
