Swaczyna is currently head coach of German club VfB Friedrichshafen, which recently reached the German Cup final before losing 3–2 to Lüneburg. He is expected to continue working with the club alongside his national team duties. According to the federation, Swaczyna’s contract covers the upcoming EuroVolley qualification cycle, including the campaign for the 2028 European Championship.

His first tournament in charge is scheduled to be the 2026 CEV European League, which now also serves as part of EuroVolley qualification.
