Luka Slabe’s squad, aiming at the gold medal and World League participation, achieved its third consecutive straight-set victory, this time away at Austria by 3-0, to get closer behind leader FYR of Macedonia in the current standings.
Slovenia showed a well-motivated performance, but the Austrian team also offered a good performance at times.
The second match between the two teams is scheduled for tonight again at 20:15 local time at the Budocenter in Vienna.
