Round 8 of the second phase in the Chinese championship brought us a major derby between Army Kemen Noodles Industry (Bayi) and Jiangsu ECE...

Bayi was better than the leader in the standings, surprisingly in straight sets! It was with partial 27-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Wang Yunlu and Liu Yanhan scored 14 points for the winning team, while Xu Ruoya had nine points in Jiangsu.

Reigning champion Zhejiang New Century had no problems as a visitor against Bohai Bank Tianjin – 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-15).

Li Ying collected 17 and Yang Zhou 13 points for Zhejiang. In Tianjin, Yu Junwei was the best scorer with 11 points.

Shanghai Guohua Life stormed through Dalian aginst the home team of Liaoning Dalian Jinzhou (3-0) and was led by Senna Ušić-Jogunica (13), Zhang Yichan and Margareta Kozuch added 10 points each.

The best scorers in Liaoning were Yan Ni with 13 and Zhang Xiaochen with 10 points.

Beijing BAIC Motors beat Fujian Xia’men Ximengbao in straight sets mostly thanks to Liu Xiaotong (17) and Qiao Ting (10). In Fujian, Xu Yunli scored 14 and Manon Flier 11 points.
