Finland – Belgium
The Netherlands and Portugal have already played two games in Pool E, so now was turn for Belgian and Finnish national teams.
The “Red Devils” had 2-0 lead in sets in the city of Tampere, but a long run of points from Finland in the third set put hopes of a clear victory for Belgium out of the question.
The same happened in the fourth set, so the match was sent into the tie-break.
Belgium materialized its second match point in the tie-break and took 2 points at its World League premiere.
Sam Deroo led the “Red Devils” with 25 while Antti Siltala had 21 point in Finland.
