China – Japan
In Pool E, Chinese national team superbly triumphed over Japan in front of the home crowd – 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-10).
Chinese players showed outstanding blocking performance against the great rivals who came at this tournament with several young players.
The opposite Zeng Chunlei was the most efficient player in China with 14 points (5 blocks).
The toughest match of the second stage was between the most pleasant surprise of the 2015 ACH, Vietnam and Iran, in the same Pool. Iranians did their best, but failed in the tie-break.
Defending champion Thailand continued with great performances. One of the 4 undefeated teams from the first phase beat Kazakhstan easily in Pool F, in straight sets – 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-12).
South Korea showed power against Chinese Taipei – 3-0.
