In the next stage of the tournament, the German team will do a remake of its pool clash with Russia.

On a paper, Germany was a clear favourite to win the third quarter-final of the day as it has won Pool B, while Serbia finished fourth in Pool A.

Germany secured its ticket to the semis in a display of a rock solid blocking – 15 vs. 4 from Serbia!

Christian Fromm had 19 points in the winning team. Konstantin Čupković scored 12 in Serbia.

Russia recorded a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-22) victory over France to complete the today’s quarter-final programme.

French squad played with a lot of courage and it made it fairly difficult for their opponents in each one of the three sets, but in the end had to accept a 0-3 loss thereby, finishing the tournament in fifth place.

Viktor Poletaev was unstoppable in Russia with 16 while Trévor Clévenot collected two points less in the „Les Bleus“.

Previously, Poland and Bulgaria won their quarter-final matches and scheduled mutual clash in semi-final.
