The USA had balanced scoring with Foluke Akinradewo soring a team-best 14 points. Kimberly Hill added 13 points and Rachael Adams contributed 10 points. Miyu Nagaokaled Japan with 16 points and Yuki Ishii added 10 points.
On the second match of the day in Pool E, Turkey downed Germany 3-1. As usual Polen Uslupehlivanled the wining team with 17 points while Kubra Akman finished match with 13. German Louisa Lippmannwas the top scorer of the match with 21 points but that wasn’t enough.
