Zhu Ting nominated for prestigious Sportswoman of the Year Award

Chinese volleyball player Zhu Ting is nominated for a prestigious Sportswoman of the Year Award.

The MVP of the Women’s Volleyball tournament at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and also a member of golden Chinese National Team is among candidates to win the 2016 Sportswoman of the Year Award, an annual award organised by the Women’s Sport Foundation (based in New York, USA – educational non-profit charity focused on female involvement in sports. Founded in 1974 by tennis player Billie Jean King).

Voting, which is a combination of a public vote (50%) and the Women’s Sports Foundation’s Awards Committee’s vote (50%)will be concluded on September 11.

The Rio Olympic beach volleyball gold medallists, Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst from Germany, are also nominated.
