The show included special laser projections and a performance by the local cheerleaders that will accompany the home matches of Tomis together with two mascots, Musketeer Tomcat and Sailor Duck. The players and the coaching staff for the 2012/2013 season were also presented to the audience.
The event was attended also by the three foreign teams – VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN (GER), Italy’s BCC-NEP CASTELLANA GROTTE and Turkey’s ISTANBUL BBSK – that will compete this weekend in the eighth edition of the Black Sea Cup.
“I have to express my gratitude to Sorin Strutinsky, the real mentor of this Volleyball club, for the great results he was able to achieve with the team and the exposure that our city is enjoying” said the Mayor of Constanta, Radu Mazare.
“We have been working really hard for some years and got good results in the European Cups, so finally our request for a wild-card to participate in the Champions League was accepted. We have been asking for this wild-card for five years and we finally got it. We have a good team, the players are experienced and motivated” concluded Strutinsky, the president of Tomis.
