The superiority of the winners was evident during the whole match even though the Puerto Rican club showed glimpses of their potential.

Fenerbahce outserved Lancheras 7-0 and also led in the blocking category 11-6. They gave away 12 points to 20 by Lancheras.

Seda Tokatlioglu had 16 points, including three blocks, as the top scorer for the winners. Mari Steinbrecher followed, with four blocks and 13 points, while Eda Erdem chipped in with 12, including two blocks and two aces.

Jessica Jones had 10 points for Lancheras, including four blocks, and Yarimar Rosa finished with nine tallies.

Seda Tokatlioglu and Mari Steinbrecher carried Fenerbahce to 8-6 and 16-10 leads at the technical time-outs of the first set. Lancheras put some resistance in the early going but then committed too many mistakes, opening the way to the more experienced team based in Turkey. Paula Pequeno attacked from the back court for set-point at 24-15 and the first frame closed in favor of Fenerbahce 25-17 with an attack from the middle by Okuniewska.

In the second set, Fenerbahce led 8-5 at the first TTO and kept the same rhythm towards the second stop as they led 16-10 with Steinbrecher and Tokatlioglu reaching double digits in points at that moment. Lancheras reduced the distance to 18-14 but Seda planted a spike and Eda Erdem served an ace to restore the cushion. Pequeno hit off the block for set-point and Tokatlioglu finished with a cross court smash for the 25-17 score.

The difference in the third set was even bigger as Fenerbahce led 8-1 at the first TTO. The champions of the 2010 edition continued their crushing job and were in front 16-5 at the second TTO. The Istanbul club used some of their bench players at the end of the third set and ended up winning 25-13.
