The 1st round of voting for the 2016/17 Wov Dream Team is underway. HERE you can find everything you need to know about the Poll, while do not forget that you can vote at our WorldofVolley Home Page and at our WorldofVolley Poll Page.

Before giving your vote so some player, here are some things you might want to know about them…

Today, we are presenting you the LIBEROS.

Jenia Grebennikov (Lube Civitanova): What a season this was for Jenia Grebennikov. If you remember, he has started it by playing as OUTSIDE-HITTER in Lube, but the final tournament of the Italian Cup changed everything.

The French libero finally got a chance to play at his primary position and he helped Lube to win their first trophy in this season. After that, Grebennikov remained the team starting libero, while Lube won the Italian Championship and finished as the 3rd best team in Europe.

Luke Perry (BR Volleys): His very first season in BR Volleys was outstanding. Luke Perry won the German Championship with his team and qualified for the 2016/17 CEV Champions League Final Four.

This 22-year old libero showed that he can perform at the top level, as he was the main pillar of Berlin’s strong defense throughout the whole season.

Alexey Verbov (Zenit Kazan): He was playing and coaching at the same time! One of the world’s greatest liberos wanted to try himself as a volleyball coach and his club Zenit Kazan gave him a chance to coach the team in some games.

Still, Verbov was on the court playing as libero in the team’s most important matches in the season… And he helped Zenit Kazan to win almost everything in the 2016/17 campaign.

Pawel Zatorski (Zaksa): The best libero in PLusLiga, there is no doubt about that. Pawel Zatorski has had a very successful journey throughout the 2016/17 season in which he won the Polish Championship and the Polish Cup with his club Zaksa.

Erik Shoji (Lokomotiv Novosibirsk): Lokomotiv Novosibirsk have played good volleyball in the 2016/17 season and Eric Shoji is one of the reasons for that performance. Unfortunately for Shoji and the rest of the red & green crew, they failed to win a single trophy, but no one can blame them as their main opponents were the reigning European champions – Zanit Kazan.
