Best of 2016/17
Another volleyball season has come to an end, so now it is time to see who was the best in the 2016/17 journey! You will decide which players will find their place in the WoV Dream Team.
You will be able to vote for the ideal team of the 2016/17 volleyball season. At the beginning there will be 31 players in the Poll (5 setters, 5 opposites, 5 libero players, 8 middle blockers and 8 outside-hitters), while after each round the players with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated.
You will be able to vote for the 2016/17 WoV Dream Team at our WorldofVolley homepage and at our WorldofVolley Poll page.
There will be 2 rounds of voting.
Round 1 (May 15 – May 21): At the end of this round, 2 setters, 2 opposites, 2 libero players, 4 middle blockers and 4 outside-hitters with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated from the competition.
Round 2 (May 22 – May 28): Accordingly to the results of Round 1, the Round 2 will begin with 3 setters, 3 opposites, 3 libero players, 4 middle blockers and 4 outside-hitters in the Poll. At the end of this round, 2 setters, 2 opposites, 2 libero players, 2 middle blockers and 2 outside-hitters with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated from the competition.
The players who remain in our Poll after May 28 will officially be part of the 2016/17 WoV Dream Team.
It is also important to mention that in the next two weeks you will be able to vote for the 2016/17 WoV Men’s Dream Team, while after the end of this Poll we will start the 2016/17 WoV Women’s Dream Team Poll.

The fact that you dont have Anderson nor Russell on as recievers/Outside Hitters in your vote is silly.
Zaytsev is NO receiver. Kromm and Deroo aren’t even close to those two. way better in those positions than those 3
I agree about Zaytsev, not about his actual position but about him standing in this list. He was very inconsistent during the whole season and was sometimes just plain bad (Play-Offs SF against Trentino).
Sam Deroo on the other hand proved to be a very consistent and reliable player on ZAKSA’s side, he may not be a power hitter (at least not as powerfull as Leon, Juantorena or Leal) but he knows how to score even without using strenght. The important role that he played for his team while winning the Polish national title 2 times in a row, having the chance of being elected for ‘best receiver’ is the least that he deserves.
