Elsewhere, Victoria Ravva, the team captain of RC CANNES, was recently interviewed by the LNV (Ligue National de Volley). The 37-year old middle blocker still enjoys playing Volleyball and said that some young and talented players have been added to the roster of the team. RC CANNES has claimed the national league for a total of 17 times and Ravva insisted on her intention to stay atop of the charts, fighting for every single point and to live up to the always very high expectations of the local fans.
As for the upcoming 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League, Ravva stated: “It would be a dream to come true if we qualified once again for the final four. Our club has claimed the title twice and I think we can have a shot at a third crown”. RC CANNES will debut in Europe’s most elitist Cup this coming October 24 by playing host to Uralochka-NTMK EKATERINBURG of Russia at “Palais des Victoires”.
