Both teams performed outstandingly in the final, an indication of their seriousness and readiness to compete in the league.
QVA Board Member, Ali Ghanim Al-Kuwari, Yousef Kanu and other QVA officials attended the medal ceremony.
Adel Sanun, the Algerian coach of the El Jaish team, expressed his delight with the team’s first championship win of the season.
“I feel great happiness as our team showed a great fighting spirit and the players demonstrated their ability to carry out instructions, which led us to win all the matches and the Federation Cup without any loss”, said Sanun.
He continued to say, “This puts great pressure on the team to perform in the league, which undoubtedly will see stronger competitions as every team will strive to win, but I have great confidence in the star players in our team and their ability to compete this season. This is due to the great support of the management and I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation for their trust and support.”
Nasser Al Malki, head of Al Rayyan, affirmed that his team were in good shape during the Federation Cup and deserved to reach the finals, although they suffered from the absence of key players.
As Al Malki said, “Even in the absence of three of the most prominent key players and a professional player, Al Rayyan’s journey was positive and we are pleased because our young players performed well and confirmed that the team base is solid. We will show great results through the current season.”
