Simone-Parodi
The composition of the Polish champions ZAKSA is strengthened with a player who has extensive experience in the international arena with Italy National Team – Simone Parodi. The 33-year-old outside hitter appeared on the training of ZAKSA a week ago and he obviously pleased the coaching staff. ZAKSA revealed on their website that Parodi was close to joining them in 2014 as well but the agreement could not be reached at that moment.
By signing an Italian player, who spent the last season playing for the team in his home country – Top Volley Latina, ZAKSA did not conclude strengthening the squad on the outside hitter’s position. They signed Poland National Team member, the bronze medalist at this year’s FIVB Nations League – Piotr Łukasik. The 25-year-old player played for the vice-champions ONICO Warszawa last season.
