The information that the term of Zagumny in the Polish Volleyball League (Polska Liga Siatkówki – PLS) hasn’t been renewed caused quite a surprise among the volleyball public in the country. The former excellent setter couldn’t hide the surprise himself, too.
As he posted in a sort of confession on social media, the legendary Poland National Team member stressed he was disappointed with the way this organization operated, claiming “that even our volleyball is no longer free from political arrangements and private interests, so it may be better that I won’t be part of this current game. I’ll be a sportsman forever and I’m only interested in fair play.”
