As reported by Polsat Sport, the Polish men’s club champions Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle are determined to acquire a top-class setter given they will lose the Frenchman Benjamin Toniutti at the end of the season.
First, the news was they offered a contract to the US National Team starter Micah Christenson, currently playing for Italy’s Leo Shoes Modena. Now, the latest news says that his backup in the national team, Kawika Shoji, is in ZAKSA’s domain of interest, as well. Just like Christenson, a 33-year-old Shoji (one-time FIVB World League, FIVB World Cup, and NORCECA Championship winner) plays in Italy. He’s a member of Kioene Padova.
