In the first semifinal match of the 2021 TAURON Polish Women’s Puchar Polski Kobiet, Grupa Azoty Chemik Police swept ŁKS Commercecon Łódź by a 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-22). Thanks to the performances of Serbian Jovana Brakočević-Canzian (19 points) and Dutch Indy Baijens (5 blocks), Chemik will have the chance to defend the trophy.
To succeed in doing so, the Police side will have to defeat Grot Budowlani Łódź, who also achieved a straight-set win in the semis. They prevailed over E.LECLERC MOYA Radomka Radom mostly thanks to American Veronica Jones-Perry (22 points) and Małgorzata Lisiak (5 blocks). Tomorrow’s gold medal encounter, just as the entire Final Four, will be played in Nysa.
