POL M: AZS Politechnika strengthened middle blocker position

Politechnika Warszawska’s board decided to strengthen the middle part of the team. New player at that position will be Dawid Gunia.

Dawid Gunia (born in 1987 in Racibórz, 2.03 m) started his career in the local team – AZS Rafako Racibórz. Gunia played in his career for clubs such as Resovia Rzeszow, AZS Częstochowa and AZS Olsztyn.

Now the 26-year-old player will continue his career in the capital. Gunia signed one-year contract with AZS Politechnika Warszawska.

Dawid Gunia’s rivals for a place in the first team are very experienced Marcin Nowak, young Przemyslaw Smoliński and new acquisition of AZSMateusz Sacharewicz.

Contracting Gunia is one of the the last movement of AZS Politechnika Warszawska’s management in the transfer market.

To fill the position of the receiver, Warszawska board have bid contract to a Italian Matteo Martino from Jastrzębie. He will maybe be the last of the reinforcements for the club from the capital.
