Joanna Wołosz, one of the best female setters in the world, revealed that she’ll join the Poland Volleyball National Team actions this year.
Wołosz hasn’t been in the Poland National Team for almost a year, and now she revealed she would return to defending the nation’s jersey.
Last summer, prior to the EuroVolley, one of the best female setters in the world decided to stop playing for the national team, explaining her decision with private matters. Unofficially, however, Wołosz was dissatisfied with the cooperation with the then head coach Jacek Nawrocki. In the meantime, the Polish federation replaced Nawrocki with Italian Stefano Lavarini, which obviously cheered up Wołosz to join the national team actions. She suggested in an interview for Il Gazzettino Treviso that she may soon defend the Polish colors again. The motivation for Wołosz may be the FIVB World Championship, which will be held in Poland and the Netherlands at the turn of September and October.
