Sada Cruzeiro beat Sesi-SP in the match of the big rivals valid for Round 17 of the 2021/22 Brazilian Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Cruzeiro remained in the hunt for the leader Fiat/Gerdau/Minas in the 2021/22 Men’s Superliga. In Round 17, the Contagem side beat Sesi in a balanced confrontation which reminded the rivalry these two used to have embodied in 4 league finals. Cruzeiro entered the court in search of a victory against a direct opponent for the top positions of the Superliga with the goal of rejecting Sesi’s aspirations of taking the vice-leader position in the charts. And they achieved the goal, leaving the São Paulo team 7 points behind and remaining at -5 in relation to Minas.
Wallace Souza was Cruzeiro’s main man in the match, scoring 22 points.
