A thrilling start to the PlusLiga quarterfinals saw ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle pull off a surprise 3–2 victory over regular season winners Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.

The home side looked in control early, taking the first two sets with identical 25:22 scores thanks to solid attacking and disciplined play. However, ZAKSA quickly turned the match around, improving their serving pressure and capitalizing on errors from the hosts. The visitors dominated the third and fourth sets (25:18, 25:20), forcing a decisive tie-break.
The final set delivered high drama, with both teams battling point for point in a tense finish. ZAKSA held their nerve in the closing moments to complete a remarkable comeback.
Kamil Rychlicki led the visitors with 27 points and earned MVP honors. Jakub Szymański added 19 points and was particularly effective from the service line. For Aluron, Bartłomiej Bołądź scored 23 points, supported by Bartosz Kwolek (16).
