POL W: Grobelna and Polańska extend with Budowlani, Maj-Erwardt takes maternity leave, Busto libero to replace her

Grot Budowlani Łódź, vice champions of the Polish Women’s Volleyball Championship, extended the contract with their best scorer from the last season.

Belgian receiver Kaja Grobelna, the best scorer of Budowlani and second best scorer in OrlenLiga in 2016/2017 with 514 points will stay in the club for another season. She averaged 39% positive attack per game.

Budowlani also sealed the new deal with middle blocker and also Polish NT member Gabriela Polańska. She will stay in OrlenLiga ruuners-up until 2019.

Libero Paulina Maj-Erwardt decided to take one-year break from volleyball (took maternity leave) so, Budowlani had to find a replacement for her. It’s Agata Durajczyk-Witkowska, who came from Italian side Unet Yamamay Busto Arsizio.
