Nicholas Hoag is the next big name to come to Stocznia Szczecin who will play the 2018/19 season aiming to win one of the strongest volleyball championships in the world, Plus Liga. There are no more doubts about this.
A 26-year-old Canada national team player became the sixth reinforcement of Szczecin for the upcoming season and the ninth player in the roster. Recall that world volleyball stars like Bartosz Kurek, Matey Kaziyski, and Łukasz Żygadło signed with Szczecin earlier.
The outside hitter Hoag spent the last season in Italy defending the colors of Diatec Trentino with whom he reached the semifinals of SuperLega and CEV Champions League.
The years of his career before he joined Trentino brought him a few valuable titles. The period which Hoag spent in France (2013-2016) was especially successful as he won the national championship three times, French Cup two times, and French Super cup once, playing for Tours Volley Ball and Paris Volley.
His biggest success with Canada was winning the bronze medal in the 2017 FIVB World League.
