RUS M: Gazprom Yugra signs the European Champions from 2013!

Gazprom Yugra have announced on its official website the signing of a contract with 38-year old Sergei Makarov.

The agreement is concluded until the end of the season.

Makarov started playing at the high-level league in 1996, as a member of Moscow MGFSO. Then he played for Dynamo Moscow, Iskra, Lokomotiv, Fakel, Belogorie and Kuzbass.

Makarov was a two-time champion of Russia (2005/2006, 2012/2013), two-time winner of the national cup (2006, 2012), bronze medalist of the Champions League (2006/2007), finalist of the CEV Cup (2009/2010). With the Russian national team, he was the champion of Europe (2013), the winner of World Cup (2011) and the winner of the World League (2013).
