Russia will play the International Qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with boosted confidence after prevailing in the Governor’s Cup, a few days ago. Their head coach Vadim Pankov has selected 14 players for the matches in Pool E, in which Russia will host South Korea, Canada and Mexico, in Kaliningrad.
Nataliya Goncharova has returned to the national team after a year and already showed the class in the Governor’s Cup in which she was named MVP.
The 14 players of Russia are:
Setters: Tatyana Romanova, Evgeniya Startseva
Opposite hitter: Nataliya Goncharova
Middle blockers: Ekaterina Efimova, Irina Koroleva, Angelina Lazarenko, Irina Fetisova
Outside hitters: Irina Voronkova, Margarita Kurilo, Kseniya Parubets, Mariya Khaletskaya, Tatyana Yurinksaya
Liberos: Alla Galkina, Darya Pilipenko
