Top-seed Dinamo-Kazan took advantage of the fact that their rivals in the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch playoff quarterfinals, No.8 Leningradka, came to Game 2 highly weakened and swept rivals by a 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 28-26) to win the series (2-0). The team from Saint-Petersburg couldn’t count on two starters: Belarusian Elena Gendel and Sofiya Kuznetsova. Dominican Bethania De la Cruz top-scored for Dinamo-Kazan with 19 points. Belarussian Anastasiya Garelik tallied 14 points for Leningradka.
Unlike the first game of the quarterfinal series, Lokomotiv (No.2) didn’t struggle against seventh-seed Dinamo Krasnodar in Game 2, winning the match in straight sets and achieving promotion to the semifinals.
