CL M: Teruel ‘ripped’ one set of Lokomotiv, but Russian team won

Lokomotiv Novosibirsk needed a bit over an hour and a half to break the resistance of CAI Voleibol Teruel in the second round of 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League, Pool B - 3-1 (25-21, 25-15, 23-25, 25-15).

Maximum of struggle was seen in the first and the third set.

In the first set, domestic team of Lokomotiv led on both technical timeouts but with minor advantage (8-6, 16-14), which guaranteed an uncertain ending in which the Russian team had better pace.

Teruel won the third set, the only period in which it had the initiative from the beginning (4-8, 12-16).

However, fourth set, just like the first, went to Lokomotiv which now has both wins, while Teruel enrolled two defeats.

The match was decided in reception, which was on the side of Lokomotiv.

The Russian team did not have a single error in reception, of which 59% were positive and 43% excellent, while Teruel had nine errors in reception and only 19% were excellent.

The most efficient in the winning team was Denis Zemchenok with 18 points. In Teruel, Juan Carlos Barcala had 20 points.
