In the big derby between Dinamo Moscow and Zenit Kazan, Wilfredo Leon scored 33 points, while his serves at the end of the tie-break decided the winner. Even the representatives of Dinamo praised the performance of Cuban star.
“Everything is clear when you look at the scoreboard – We lost. It is necessary to draw conclusions and to move on. Wilfredo Leon was simply fantastic. I will not make mistake if I say that he defeated us single-handedly in the tie-break. He had some crazy serves and we could not respond. Anyway, we need to continue to work” said Roman Yakovlev, assistant coach of Dinamo Moscow.
On the other side Vladimir Alekno, head coach of Zenit, was not completely satisfied despite the victory.
“We are not in the best physical condition, but we played the best we could. I am dissatisfied with our current form and we have find a way to improve our game. We won this match thanks to individual qualities of Wilfredo Leon, while Matt Anderson was also there to help our team in crucial moments,” said Alekno.
