Verbov
Zenit Kazan played against Gazprom Yugra on the road in the 22nd round of the Russian Championship, while for this match they had to register a libero who is a member of their reserve team!
This was the reason – Alexey Verbov was replacing Vladimir Alekno at the position of team head coach, Teodor Salparov is not registered for the Russian Championship due to limit of foreign players, while their 3rd libero Valentin Krotkov suffered injury!
Therefore, 36-year old Vladislav Babichev was brought into the first team and he was the starting libero of Zenit. His team won the match by 3-1.
