RUS W: Champion of Hungary joins Dinamo Krasnodar!

After three years of playing abroad, the Russian outside hitter Irina Smirnova is ready to return to the homeland.

Her new team in the Russian women’s volleyball league will be Dinamo Krasnodar.

Irina was born in Nizhny Novgorod on April 10, 1990. She started a professional career in Luch. After playing for a few teams in Russia, she has decided to play abroad.

In 2014, Smirnova moved to the Italian Vicenza. After spending one season there, she helped the team to win a ticket for Serie A1. In 2015/2016 season she became a player of Forli, while in the next season she joined Monza, spending only a couple of months there. In January, she signed a deal with the Hungarian team Linamar Roplabda, with who she won the championship title.
