RUS M: Police detain Alexey Spiridonov – “It’s better to sit in prison…”

Two-time FIVB World League winner Alexey Spiridonov was detained by the police two days ago before the football game of the Russian championship, between Spartak and Locomotive.

After releasing him, the police fined Spiridonov with 500 rubles (7,21 euros). The Russian player has consumed alcoholic beverages and that’s the reason why police detained and fined him.

Spiridonov has decided to comment this situation in his own style.

I’m pleased with the outcome and I’m glad that I didn’t get to this game of Spartak. It’s better to sit in prison than to see how Spartak lost a game,” explains Spirik.
