Head coach Zoran Terzic has called up a squad of 14 players, with a further 12 set join up following the conclusion of the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship that will take place in Kobe, Japan from May 9-14.
“We are eager to start working with each other,” receiver Brankica Mihajlovic said. “There will be some new players, we will miss a few older ones, but that is normal and we have to adjust. The most important thing for now is the tournament in Poland, and as for the FIVB World Grand Prix and the European Championship, we will think about that later.”
Serbia will face Iceland, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Slovakia and Poland in World Championship qualification from May 23-28 in Poland.
