The 2016 Rio Olympics champion, Wallace Souza, will play for the Turkish men’s volleyball side Spor Toto in the 2020/21 season!

According to Voleybol Plus, the negotiations between famous Brazilian opposite hitter Wallace and Spor Toto are over with an agreement and the Turkish club will soon make the transfer official.

It will be the first experience abroad of a 32-year-old Wallace, who spent the last two seasons with Sesc-RJ. The contract of the 2016 Rio Olympics winner with the Ankara team is signed for one year. Wallace will have two fellow countrymen as teammates in Spor Toto: the setter Thiago Gelinski and outside hitter Leonardo Nascimento “Leozinho”. Both renewed their contracts.

After his former club Sesc shut down, Wallace decided to go to play abroad. Choosing Turkey as a destination, he changed his mind given that he said he wanted to go to Japan.
