CL M: Tough win for Halkbank in Romania

The winner of last year’s CEV Cup, Turkish Halkbank, beat Romanian Tomis Constanta away in four sets 3-1 (25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 25-15).

Halkbank meet strong resistance from Tomis Constanta in Romania. After the win in first round of Pool F against Jastrzebski, Turkish team had to give their maximum to take victory vs. Tomis.

The first set was very uncertain, but in the end Kaziyski & co took it by 25-23. In the second set, home team showed good moves and played a lot better than opponent 25-19.

In next part of the game, Halkbank had to play on higher level to clinch it by 25-23 and the last one set the winner of Turkish Super Cup easily won.

The best scorer in Halkbank’s jersey was Matey Kaziyski with 17, while Mitar Đurić had 14 and Emre Batur finished with 13. In home team, Reda Haikal scored 18 points.

Tomis Constanta – Halkbank 1-3 (23-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-25)

Jastrzebski – Tirol Innsbruck 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-20)

Standings:

Halkbank 6 (6-2), Jastrzebski 3 (4-3), Tomis Constanta 3 (4-4), Tirol Innsbruck 0 (1-6)
