TUR M: Halkbank, Galatasaray, and Fenerbahçe Secure Wins

Round 7 of the SMS Group Efeler League delivered another round of high-energy volleyball, with Halkbank, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, and Fenerbahçe Medicana all claiming victories to strengthen their standings in the 2025–26 season.

In Ankara, Halkbank secured dominant 3-0 sweep over Kuşgöz İzmir Vinç Akkuş Belediyespor (25-15, 25-22, 25-15) at the TVF Ziraat Bankkart Volleyball Hall. Led by Matey Kaziyski (11 pts), Yoandy Leal (11 pts) and Tsvetan Sokolov (7pts), Halkbank controlled the match from start to finish.

In Istanbul, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta edged Gebze Belediyesi in a five-set thriller (25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-6). Jean Patry led Galatasaray with 26 points, while Stephen Maar and Thomas Jaeschke added 21 and 17 points respectively.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe Medicana bounced back after losing the opening set to beat Altekma 3-1 (25-20, 19-25, 17-25, 18-25) in İzmir. Adis Lagumdzija led the charge with 18 points, supported by Earvin Ngapeth (12 pts), Barthelemy Chinenyeze (12 pts) and Yiğit Gülmezoğlu (10 pts). The victory marked Fenerbahçe’s fourth win of the season and sets the stage for their upcoming clash with Halkbank.

Elsewhere, Ziraat Bankkart, İBB Spor Kulübü, İstanbul Gençlik, and Bursa BBSK also recorded wins to close out an action-packed week.
