Both were absent from Zeren’s 3–2 loss to Conegliano in the Women’s Champions League quarterfinal second leg, where the Turkish team featured only 12 players. The report states their absence was not due to injury, but unpaid salaries, leading them to return to Serbia.

Zeren, established in 2022, is reportedly dealing with significant financial problems, with players and staff having received just two salaries this season. Despite this, the club reached the Champions League quarterfinals and finished third in the Turkish Sultanlar League.

The departures have raised fresh concerns over the club’s financial situation and its future at the top level.
