Second placed VakıfBank had to sweat a lot on road against Sarıyer Belediyesi 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-16, 29-27). The Dutch Lonneke Slöetjes scored 21 points in the winning team.
Despite being eliminated from the CEV Champions League as title holders, Eczacıbaşı VitrA remained candidates for trophy in the national league after continuing huge winning streak of 10 matches. They suffered their last defeat so far, on November 29, 2015. Serbian Tijana Bošković led Eczacıbaşı to victory over Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyesi with 22 points. Interestingly, Eczacıbaşı’s coach Giovanni Caprara put 20 players in protocol for this match!
Galatasaray Daikin was the team from ’The big 4’ we mentioned in our introduction who suffered defeat. Nilüfer Belediyesi downed them with 20 points from Meryem Boz.
