Metin Toy stood out in ’Fener’ which remained second placed in the standings, while Beşiktaş, on the other hand, are further and further away from playoffs. They are nine points behind eighth placed İnegöl Belediyesi, who achieved victory over İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi (BBSK) 3-0, four rounds until the end of regular stage.
Reigning champions Arkas Spor were confident at home court against Galatasaray HDI Sigorta 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-19) with 14 points from the Frenchman Antonin Rouzier.
Ziraat Bankası comfortably prevailed over visiting Tokat Belediye Plevne 3-0 and approached to fourth placed İstanbul BBSK to only two points. The Swedish Marcus Nilsson topped Ziraat’s scorers with 14 points.
Interestingly, an expensive reinforcement of Ziraat, the Cuban Leonardo Leyva ’Leo’ did not play a single minute in today’s game after inglorious debut in the CEV Champions League.
