Turkish title holders demonstrated superiority once again in the most elite European club competition by downing Russian leaders (14-0 record), Dinamo Moscow 3-1 (25-21, 25-14, 21-25, 25-19) in the first leg of Playoffs 6. In the last round, they easily eliminated Polish champions Chemik Police.
As usual when they play in the CEV Champions League, Serbian-Korean duo of receivers/outside hitters was the most efficient in ‘Fener’. Brankica Mihajlović scored 29 points while Kim Yeon-Koung had 23!
Nataliya Goncharova (played under surname Obmochaeva until recently) was the only bright spot in Dinamo with 19 points, but without such an envious percentage of attack (35%).
The second leg will be played in Russia’s capital, on March 23.
